What is an inquiry session?
An inquiry session is an opportunity for those interested in finding out more about Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. In the beginning we start with an overview of the true teachings of Jesus Christ from the Trinity to the ecclesia or “Church”. We work through the different aspects of the saving message of Jesus and what His message of Salvation has to do with us. We let you have an opportunity for fellowship during these times and an ability to ask questions which might me on your mind.
RCIA classes run from September through May. We have classes on Wednesdays at 5:00pm.
If I come to these sessions do I have to join?
The answer is simple, no. During these classes it is just an introduction to the Gospel and to Jesus. You are not required to join the Church if you do not want to. Jesus calls His followers it is ultimately their choice if they wish to follow the message or discern if He is calling them elsewhere.
What happens if I decide to join the Church?
If you do decide to join then following the inquiry class is what is known as RCIA or Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. From there you will start to learn more about the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and the Church in a more dissected manner. This class helps you to understand how the Church fits into this message and what her teachings and beliefs are in a more detailed manner.
